She loves working on art projects, hiking (in her home state of Oregon, and elsewhere), reading, and exploring the intersections of art, math, science, cultures, etc. She has done research in mathematics, and also enjoys working with organizations that spread enthusiasm for and understanding of math and arts and sciences, like Canada/USA Mathcamp and Columbia Splash.
