columbia synapse: narrative
Led by student group, "Synapse," Narrative is a community narrative series that documents the experiences and challenges of persons with disabilities (or similar experiences/challenges) during the COVID-19 crisis. This is part of an effort to recognize the link between voice, identity, and community. Share your personal thoughts in a 100-word reflection on your experience using this form.

flypaper tutors
Eden Naftali (‘21) and Rika Ichinose (‘21) co-founded an online nonprofit called flypaper tutors Inc. that facilitates free on-demand, one-on-one tutoring to students whose learning has been interrupted by COVID-19 related school closures and alleviates the new responsibility parents are taking on of being educators in the home!

HEART OVER HANDS
Co-founded by Anna Beloborodova (CC '21) and Diane Huang (CC '21), the aim is to pair currently-enrolled university students with children from families who are adversely impacted. Volunteers (also called "Big Sibs") meet with kids via virtual video sessions. Video sessions are intended to break the sense of social isolation that children may be experiencing, provide homework help, tutoring, and general mentorship/guidance.
